Powell’s is a third-generation family transport business.

Nigel’s grandfather, Percy Powell started his truck business in June 1941, inspiring his son, Baden to begin Castle Coaches in 1960. Baden Powell spent his life building the business, with a growing Nigel at his side. Nigel started driving coaches as soon as he was able and has been surrounded by commercial vehicles his entire life. He started Powell’s of Portsmouth to provide coach hire backed by personal service, underpinned by trust , honesty and driven by knowledge and experience gained through over 40 years in the industry’.

We specialise in day excursions and holidays. We can also provide private hire for groups, such as, schools, horticultural societies, social clubs and associations. We have many returning clients and pride ourselves on providing an outstanding friendly and professional service.
